The partners of the Gaming Disorders: Upskilling School Staff to Identify, Report, and Prevent Gaming Disorders project gathered in Düren, Germany, on October 8-9, 2024, for a face-to-face meeting to mark the successful completion of the first year of the project and plan the next phase of activities. This event brought together representatives from eight partner institutions across Europe to assess the progress of the project and strategize the next steps.
During the two-day meeting, the consortium presented the results achieved in the first year, highlighting key findings from the interviews conducted with game designers, teachers, and educational psychologists. The meeting also served as a platform to outline and prepare the activities to be developed under Work Package 3 (WP3) over the coming months.
The Gaming Disorders project, funded by the Erasmus+ program, aims to provide teachers, educational staff, and school leaders with the skills and resources needed to address the growing issue of gaming addiction among students. By fostering a better understanding of gaming disorders and offering practical solutions, the project seeks to promote healthier digital habits among young people.
